Welcome! I am an assistant professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I’m a fangirl and a former high school teacher, and my research interests include the social dynamics of networked classrooms, the literacy practices of online fan communities, and the construction of inclusive and sustainable teaching and learning environments.

I teach first-year-writing (FYW), literature courses on transformative works, detective fiction and Young Adult lit, and English teaching methods for secondary educators. I am currently obsessed with Our Flag Means Death.
